Make Your Laptop Wireless Enabled
Wireless technology or Wifi is probably the hottest technology in laptop computers today. Many people love the convenience of traveling with a laptop computer in order to do work and have access to files on the road, but until a couple of years ago, you weren't able to access the internet unless you were connected by a cord.
Today Wifi technology has skyrocketed in popularity. No matter where you go you can find a Wifi Hot spot and pick up a signal in order to surf the internet. In order for your computer to be able to log onto the internet it must be wireless enabled. There are two ways for your laptop to achieve the ability to access the internet over a Wifi hotspot.
You can either have a laptop computer with Wifi technology built in or you can purchase a Wifi card. Most of today's new mid level and upper level computers automatically come with Wifi enabled compatibility built into the computer. All you need to do is find a Wifi spot and log on. If your computer did not come with Wifi built in then all you need is a Wifi card. These cards are not that expensive and well worth it if you want to access the internet without a cord. So if you want to surf the internet no matter where you are, check out Wifi technology.
